YEOJIN for LOONA vs DESIGNER TOYS
In this LOONA vs DESIGNER TOYS serial feature, I attempt to pair a member of South Korean girl group LOONA (이달의 소녀) with a "Designer Toy" (Explained in detail HERE) - specifically ANIMAL-themed, to coincide with said-member's "animal"-icon. This post-feature is dedicated to "YEOJIN" and her "FROG" icon!

The fourth member of LOONA to debut is "YeoJin", with the music video of her debut single "키스는 다음에 (Kiss Later)" featured above (uploaded online "15 Jan 2017"), the lyrics for which was meant to "express an appropriate and healthy attitude telling a boyfriend that “we’re still young, so let’s study hard and get into college before kissing". (loonatheworld.fandom.com). How wholesome can that be? And somewhat rarity in a sometimes hyper-sexualised industry, IMHO.
I Introduce more of YeoJin HERE, and as well continually feature her KPOP journey extensively here on TUNESTALKSG.
YeoJin is the official "maknae" (the Korean word "youngest sibling") of LOONA, and yes, it is an official title in the South Korean Kpop group - boys or girls.. Featured directly above is her duet with HaSeul "My Melody" (Dated "17 Jan 2017"), while below is her dance short for their 2021 "HULA HOOP" Japanese debut. And yes, I have deliberately not showcased the "Cocomong Unit" here today (That'll be perhaps a separate post :p).

You cannot mention YeoJin of LOONA without "APO Frogs" from South Korean design studio twelveDot, especially if I am attempting "LOONA vs DESIGNER TOYS"...! Besides the standard sized 5-inch tall figures I have featured on this blog (and own in my collection), there are also the more accessible and smaller sized (3-inches) "12 MONTHS APO FROGS" blind box series (from Xinghui Creations)...!
And while I've only a sole post on JIBI's "SOSIMWORLD" character figure(s), but I've had my eye on all other incarnations, colorways and evolution of the "frog raincoat" to other animals and themes/genres on instagram.com/sosimworld_jibi, and hoipefully I'll be able to add them to my humble collection one day... :)
"Phibby" was a recent reveal, with this wide-eyed cutie apart of the blind box mini figure series "THIMBLESTUMP HOLLOW (Series 4)" currently available via 'Hot Topic' retail locations in the U.S.. Do check in with your fav retailers to see if they stock these on designer toys speciality stores.
There are two frog-themed character designs from AYAN DIMOOWORLD, released as mini figures by Pop Mart, namely "Frog Gardener" (in "Dimoo Pets Vacation"), and "Frog Prince" (in "Dimoo Fairy Tale Series").
The above is a blast-from-the-toy-past with TNES X Kidrobot's "DRUNK FROG IN BEAR SUIT"! This 7-inch tall vinyl figure was released in 2007, and was the first of two colorway released. Who could "drunk-frog"-inspired toy design? LOL

At this point, the addition of COARSE X POP MART's "Frog" (in it's various variations in different lines) is pure comedy, rather than a "serious contender", seeing rare four incarnations of the mini figure (*actually not as "small" as I've reviewed "RACCOON") LOL
