"LOWLIFE PRINCESS: NOIR" by BIBI Album Unboxing
TWO versions of BIBI's "Lowlife Princess: Noir" exists, the "애 Ver", and the version I chose and present here today, the "나쁜X Ver.". You can pop on over to THIS POST for a Full Album Listen, while this feature today will be all about the album "unboxing"...!
Everything is housed in a printed Box feature a cover with magnetic flap. Within it contained the following:
- CD-R
- 80-page Photobook (Measuring 148mm X 210mm)
The other version seems to have different pages?
- 14pcs Postcard Set (Sized 100mm X 148mm)
The other version seems to have different images?
- 28-page Story Board Book (Sized 100mm x 148mm)
Looks like similar booklet to the other version.
- Sized 297mm x 420mm Folded Poster
The other version has a different images.
- Photocard X 1 (Sized 55mm X 85mm)

IMPRESSIONS: The entire package is a handsome representation of the themed album, with a direct connection to the music videos drenched in cinematic noir (as it were), with the Photobook images and pages reminding me of what Wong Kar Wai's "Fallen Angels" or "Happy Together" films and film books were (one day I need to do a pageflip for the too :p), with uber grainy-images, deep overwhelming shadows, and a face of "danger" - in this case "Sensual" - versus the "애 Ver" dripping with "vulnerability", an album which as of now, I would dearly love to own as well.
The postcards featuring matt print was very welcomed indeed, and I relished the "Story Board Book" giving us a glimpse at the story-boards for the MV(s), even though the text was in (South) Korean language, it was a splendid reminder for me, when I used to be active in the film industry. The "A5"-sized publication was a really nice homage to the behind-the-scenes aspect of the album, IMHO.
Here's a look at the album contents, courtesy of ktown4u.com, cheers.
