Introducing YeoJin of LOONA (4th Girl To Be Revealed for 이달의 소녀)

The 4th girl to be revealed for South Korean girl group LOONA was "YeoJin", debuting with her music video for "Kiss Later" (Uploaded "15 Jan 2017")!

YeoJin is the "maknae" of the group, and is literally both the youngest, and smallest of the 12 girls! Debuting at 14 years old, YeoJin has just graduated from SOPA / "School of Performing Arts Seoul" 2021 (at time of this blog-feature).

Visually, "KISS LATER" had all the trappings of a "Kpop MV" - with highly colourful faux environments, and imagery that rightly fits her age and wholesome song message. "The lyrics express an appropriate and healthy attitude telling a boyfriend that "we're still young, so let's study hard and get into college before kissing". (loonatheworld.fandom.com). In any language, it means "consent", and that is surely a subtly powerful message, indeed!

The song itself was a flourishing musical, with vocal harmonising and big-band styled delights, horns-a-blarring in a utterly uplifting celebration of joy and excitement with electric riffs, embracing this Digipedi-directed/produced explosion of the rainbow and stop-motion FUN! Underrated in any era, methinks...!

My Impression About Her Addition in "LOONA 1/3": It would not have been a huge issue at all, as she was still in school when she debuted, and to be apart of any sub-units actively then might simply mean missing out on her school. But now she has graduated, it would be interesting to see where she fits and sits now.



YeoJin's album featured three tracks, with the abovementioned "Kiss Later", with the second and third track being "My Sunday" and "My Melody" respectively. Both songs featured the same arrangement, but progress in two different melodies in the chorus. HeeJin and HyunJin performed "My Sunday", while YeoJin sang with HaSeul in "My Melody". The music videos for "My Sunday" and "My Melody" were filmed entirely in Taiwan.

In addition to her appearances in LOONA TV episodes (featured above is her first appearance circa "18 Jan 2017") - where folks have literally seen her grown up since (along with all the toehr 11 girls) - YeoJin has been with LOONA all the way (except when she was injured in 2019, at the beginning of the "favOriTe"-era, where she had an accident with Yves), and dutifully juggled both her school with activities with LOONA.

Featured below are her 2 of her current uploaded LOONA LOGS / VLOG (which they'd filmed and edited themselves), dated "26 Jun 2020" and "5 Sept 2020" (respectively), and we get to see Orbits' precious "Lentil Bean" has since blossomed into a young lady.
