One-Hit Wonders of the 80s: Tracks #21-#30

Continuing my one-hit-wonders of the 80s blog-feature, featured here is Tracks #21-#30 (*Based on Entertainment Weekly's 2009-list), and I have to say I am quite enjoying this selection...!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #21 - "We’re Not Gonna Take It” (Extended Version)" by Twisted Sister, from their 1984 album "Stay Hungry" (1984).

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #22 - "Maniac" by Michael Sembello (1983) is most known for the backing track for "Flashdance" (starring Jennifer Beals), but I've chosen this following "live performance" video instead, cheers.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #23 - "Electric Avenue" by Eddy Grant from his 1982 album "Killer on the Rampage".

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S ##24 - "What I Am" by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians (1988) = How could I have forgotten this??? Altho I'd 'always' kinda thought this was a "90s"-track tho...! Or maybe it reached my ears only in the 90s...? Not surprised one least bit if so tho... :)

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #25 - "Pass the Dutchie" by Musical Youth (1982) ~ 'PON THE LEFT HAND SIDE ~ I SAY!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #26 - "I Just Died In Your Arms" by Cutting Crew (1986) = I couldn't deny this track even if I tried... LOL

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #27 - "Two of Hearts" by Stacey Q from her debut studio album, "Better Than Heaven" (1986).

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #28 - "St. Elmos Fire (Man In Motion)" by John Parr = Never watched the movie, but always remembered this track :p

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #29 - "Our House" by Madness was a track that led me to purchase their 1983 album on cassette eventually ~ even tho it was a bootlegged "3-tapes-for-$5"-deal back in the 80s (Where I got to know a whole lot more 80s bands as a teenage kid with little $$$), and not looked back ever since :p

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #30 - "Turning Japanese" by The Vapors, with the below video of their performance on Top Of The Pops on original BBC 1, broadcast of February 1980.

And as a "Bonus" for the above track, the following is cover by American actress Kirsten Dunst, with the video filmed (for two and a half days at the end of August 2009) in Tokyo, Japan... quite a contrast with what's currently going on in the West tho, sadly :(
