Remembering Live Concerts I've Attended

I am trying to remember the "live" concerts I have attended and enjoyed in my past (after my journal-posting), and have since decided to forego the actual concert-names and dates/year(s) of the concerts LOL

Miami Sound Machine.
Count this as my first ever live concert, along with a date with my first ever official girlfriend, at the former World Trade Centre, circa mid-1980s(ish)! "Anything For You" became "our song" (I'd like to think) ... until it wasn't :p

Depeche Mode.
Best concert yet! Gahan seemed drunk on stage, and I loved it LOL

Attended with my brother (whom I knew was a big fan, and the only concert I have ever attended with), and my then girlfriend, who was obviously not interested at all with the group, and crossed her hands throughout the entire show with an annoyed face. Don't blame her though, even though I had wanted to share what excited me, and recognising some things were not meant to be "shared" lor ... It was also then that I subsequently attended most of my concerts alone.

So good I bought the concert program.

Sting.
Attended alone, and along with tons of folks stood up to leave the stadium when the concert "ended", until Sting played "Fragile" on his acoustic, then recognising "encores" were a "thing", and recognising that I did not know enough of his discography to know THIS track was "missing" from the set list...! D'OH!

So good I bought the concert program.

Pet Shop Boys.
Vaguely remembered the show, except for when a giant inflated ball rolled thru the crowd. An absolute blur of an entertaining staged event from two guys that did not exude any form of stagemenship besides the sets and props .. well, they are "Pet Shop Boys" after all, innit? LOL

Janet Jackson.
FKn LOVED JJ! But I knew I was there for her songs, which sounded like they came from her albums. Kinda disillusioned by then, and the thought that the show had been so "polished", that made no difference if I watched a screening of music videos on a big-screen instead ~ LOL

So good I bought the concert program. By now you realise the cheap-sake me will only buy show programs of I enjoyed the show and wanted to keep a "tangible memory" of it :p

動力火車 Power Station.
Live band. Live performances. The power and experience was exhilarating! Years on I've always wondered why I did not attempt to watch more "live band"-styled concerts, and imagined attending arena bands like "Asia" or even "Journey" etc ... just not as connected to this in real-life to know of folks coming into SG, I guess...?

Swing Out Sister.
My sister treated me to their "Breakout" concert circa 2009 (the only concert I have attended a concert with her). I think I have just left my company and was no doubt going thru personal depression and surviving exhaustion, and have always regretted not being able to fully enjoy the moment because of that.

This was to be the last live concert I ever attended, before I had a Stroke (late 2010), and never did attempt to attend any live concerts since, although there had been numerous temptations, including J-Rock SCANDAL, IU, and even prayed for LOONA to come to SG, before they battled BBC.

But at the end of the day, I don't think I'll ever attempt any live concerts, as I have hardly any mutuals in any genre, and am honestly tired of being alone enjoying my music choices... I might as well enjoy them at home in-between the earphones, amidst strangers online, than being surrounded by packed strangers in a crowded stadium/venue ... LOL
