BLACKPINK's Message & SCREENX Trailer for BLACKPINK THE MOVIE & My Past Failed Attempt to Watch BLACKPINK MVs on the Big Screen

The girls of BLACKPINK's message for folks who're snagging tickets for their upcoming "BLACKPINK THE MOVIE". With the premiere scheduled for August 4th (just around the corner), the ScreenX Trailer for BLACKPINK - 5th ANNIVERSARY [4+1] THE MOVIE is released. Head to my previous post to see the screening situation in Singapore.

The memories of being "rejected" lingers within me still, from back in the day when I attempted to show BLACKPINK music videos on the big-screen in the cinema of a local technical college I had taught in ("Production Design & Art Direction"), and I'd delved into Asia-origin music videos to showcase a spectrum of Asean-aesthetics - including Thai, Indonesian, Japanese and even South Korean Kpop - to which I'd only just discovered BLACKPINK from before, and this would have been a perfect avenue to showcase the usage of practical art direction...!

The reality was, I was taunted out, with the kids screaming "BUT WE DON'T LISTEN TO KPOP!", and I fell for that. And while I do not regret not having to force them down my students' throats (it was not apart of the "official syllabus", as this was something extra I'd prepared), but I too personally missed the opportunity to see BP's MVs on the big screen, which I'd always felt it was what their MVs deserved, with thus far my consumption of their MVs were thru the desktop computer screen or laptop (Never did catch them on the home plasma screen tho), and quite frankly most other Kpop-acts and MVs which Id always felt deserved more (cough-LOONA-cough) ... Nevertheless, "KPOP" endured much longer than my part-time teaching tenure, so here we are LOL

The year was "2017", and I still have my dedicated Facebook page for them too .... The playlist included WHISTLE, STAY, PLAYING WITH FIRE and BOOMBAYAH, and I'd also realised I've not posted them on THIS blog too - so here they are, in an attempt for me to let go of this ish (heh), PLUS their behind-the-scenes/making of (which were also the key in the lesson examples), cheers.
