Vol.44 - 4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG

"4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG" is a ongoing serial feature (started in 2025) where I showcased/share 4+ tracks / MVs from 4 Random Albums I have in my eclectic collection ... some might get their own Full Album Listens, most might not, cheers.

The "80s" had always been a wonton-spree of artists and albums hoarding - especially on bootleg cassette tapes, affordable to this simple student in Singapore...!

The track "I Like Chopin" by the Italian Italo-disco artist Gazebo would have been a "one-hit-wonder"-kind of song for me waybackwhen, and not necessarily remembered beyond the hit and even the artist's "name" might not have been as memorable, alas.

It was only decades later when I came across his CD album and purchased it for said title track and curiosity. Featured here today is the MV for "I Like Chopin" (above) and ""Lunatic" below, cheers.

"Love Moves in Mysterious Ways" by Julia Fordham was released circa 1991, with the title track used for the 1991 Paramount Pictures film "The Butcher's Wife", which I have not watched. But "Julia Fordham" was one of my fav female singers for a huge part of my life, cheers.

Two MVs for you today: "(Love Moves in) Mysterious Ways" (above) and "Manhattan Skylin" (below), and I reckon I need to do a proper full album listen somewhen soon...

Without a shred of doubt, the main reason for this OST for 1996 film "That Thing You Do!", was the main hit song by the fictional band "The Wonders". I have neither watch the film itself, nor remembered listening to the other tracks in this OST :p

"The Information" is the 10th studio album by American musician Beck, released 2006, through Interscope Records. I pretty much adored Beck for a few albums, then kinda drifted away when his soundscape shifted, honestly. This might have been my last album purchased, and ironically I did not know about the "sticker sheets" meant to adorn the album cover (kinda like "scrap-booking", innit?), until prepping for tis particular blogpost lol

Two tracks for you today: MV for "Cellphone's Dead" (above), and audio for "Think I'm in Love" (below).
