Performance Practice Video by LOONA (이달의 소녀) for "PTT (Paint The Town)" in #Queendom2

MNET has released the (Dance) Practise Video for LOONA's Round 1 Stage Performance of "PTT (Paint The Town)" for QUEENDOM2!

Enjoy the video and move on if you do not want to read anything "negative" about this video, cheers. Scroll thru for my personal commentary otherwise, cheers.

Disclaimer: There is absolutely ZERO NEGATIVITY I want to share about LOONA's performance in this video! What I want to comment on is WHERE their practise was held ... I've done a somewhat-but-not-fully-convincing (heh) delve into the stage design HERE, so that'll be where most of my referencing be based on, cheers.

What I noticed very early on, was that LOONA was practising based on the Main Stage seen in Episode One and Episode 2 (performed on by everyone else besides them, including HYOLYN, WJSN, KEP1ER, VIVIZ and BRAVE GIRLS) - before they contracted COVID-19. You can see the "diamond"-floor shape, and as well the dancers and members running frantically in the back, as that would where the elevating video walls are!

And from this video, we see 8 out of the 12 members performing. Did this happen during the initial stage of LOONA contacting COVID-19? When HaSeul, ViVi and YeoJin where down? We'll never truly know how the members felt, as three became eleven, and finally HyunJin was the last member to succumb.

As well you'd recognise the choreo where Olivia Hye's solo segment remains in center stage, while Yves was off the side instead, as opposed to the stage we see in Round 2, as well Kim Lip and HaSeul's parts where they sung back-against-back, instead of the version we see of them walking to each other from the sides of the (bridge) stage.

I feel in part somewhat saddened that LOONA and the team were not able to showcase their performance on the Main Stage along everyone else and be compared fairly on a similar plane ... but at the same time, glad that everyone did not have to run that frantically OMG!

THis is not all "lamenting" about "what could have been", but more of a "acknowledgement" or "recognizing" the efforts gone into planning and practising by everyone involved - including the members of LOONA, AND the dancers and support team.

A "pity" that the girls did not have the opportunity to showcase their initially planned performance they'd worked so hard for (as I am sure every other team did as well). But in all fairness, "practicality" won the day (as mentioned in my earlier blog-feature).

Regardless of the situation, I am more than happy and excited to see LOONA perform as they have, and will continue to support them in whatever stages they have to perform in!

Featured below is the actual Video seen on the final broadcast in Episode 2, followed by the Full Cam version.
