"Acoustic" (1992) by Everything But The Girl (Full Album Listen)

#soundtrackofmylife: I had loved them before they turned “dance music”, and enjoyed them when they did too - I’ll always remember them to be artists who evolved and adapted their sounds and music to the generation, and a constant reminder that survival needn’t be a zero-sum game.

Since my feature yesterday, I had wanted to showcase the "pre-Walking Wounded" electronic music of Everything But The Girl, to which I've decided to focus/have a full listen to their 1992 album "Acoustic" - a compilation album featuring covers and original songs from Tracy Thorn and Ben Watt, from their past albums - which is perfect as a "sampler" to their sounds (for folks unfamiliar with EBTG), and as well a right decent jolt to my music-memories LOL

This is the tracklist (Wiki):

01. "Love Is Strange" (Ethel Smith, Sylvia Robinson, Mickey Baker)
02. "Tougher Than the Rest" (Bruce Springsteen)
03. "Time After Time" (Cyndi Lauper, Rob Hyman)
04. "Alison" (Elvis Costello)
05. "Downtown Train" (Tom Waits)
06. "Driving" (Ben Watt)
07. "One Place" (Tracey Thorn)
08. "Apron Strings" (Live) (Thorn, Watt)
