One-Hit Wonders of the 80s: Tracks #31-#40

Continuing my one-hit-wonders of the 80s blog-feature, featured here is Tracks #31-#40 (*Based on Entertainment Weekly's 2009-list), and this is yet again another splendid selection, ion eluding a track from a Hollywood action actor!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #31 - "Don’t Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin, and is an eternal One-Hit FTW~!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #32 - "Harden My Heart" by Quarterflash (1981) was one of my earliest America-source 80s' rock tracks I'd heard on radio, but could not find the name of the song nor performers for the longest time - having missed the DJ's introductions, and not hearing the song again on the radio for far too long...!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #33 - "Missing You" by John Waite (1984) - THIS. "I ain't missing you at all ... Since you've been gone away ... I ain't missing you."

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #34 - "I Know What Boys Like" by The Waitresses ... and this is the very first time I've seen the MV for this track too LOL

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #35 - "Genius of Love" by Tom Tom Club (1981) is yet another CLASSIC! This was sampled by Mariah Carey in "Fantasy" too.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #36 - "It’s Raining Men" by Weather Girls.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #37 - "Funkytown" by Lipps, Inc. skimmed the beginning of 1980, with their disco-soundscape and aesthetics from 1979, ala BONEY.M, ABBA etc...!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #38 - "Respect Yourself" by Bruce Willis (1987) from his album "The Return of Bruno". Yes, you read that right. This track featured a duet with June Pointer featuring background vocals by the Pointer Sisters.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #39 - "Break My Stride" by Matthew Wilder is a track you cannot not have heard ... really?

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #40 - "Video Killed the Radio Star" by The Buggles (1979) - C'mon, you MUST have heard of this song, right? RIGHT?
