Vol.21 - 4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG

"4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG" is a new ongoing serial feature where I showcased/share 4 tracks / MVs from 4 Random Albums I have in my eclectic collection ... some might get their own Full Album Listens, most might not, cheers.

Look, if you haven't clocked it by now, you know my "weakness" is "Best Of"-compilations, even if I already have the original albums ... case in point; "Level Best" by the English jazz-funk band Level 42 (Released 1998). This is "Something About You".

Remember what I said about "compilations"? This jazz compilation album "Selected" by Japanese musician Sadao Watanabe was released 1989. I was trying to think of a sonic parallel to my choices, and seems this was my "CityPop" to me now, as it was to my late-80s / early-90s :) This is "Road Song".

This 2002 album "Lovebox" by the British electronic music duo Groove Armada, should be one of my fav albums from them. Their fourth studio album features a mix of dance, electronica, R&B, and soul music. This is "Purple Haze".

Having adored the OSTs by French composer Éric Serra (predominently for director Luc Besson films), this soundtrack album La Musique des films features music from several films, and is an absolute treat for me personally. One of the earliest most memorable tracks were from "The Big Blue (Le Grand Bleu)" ... this is the intro to the film...

BUY FROM AMAZON:
Buy "La Music Des Films - O.S.T." CD
Buy "Le Grand Bleu The Big Blue Original Soundtrack" VINYL
Buy "Le Grand Bleu 1988 Film Audio Eric Serra" CD
