Vol.8 - 4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG
"4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG" is a new ongoing serial feature where I showcased/share 4 tracks / MVs from 4 Random Albums I have in my eclectic collection ... some might get their own Full Album Listens, most might not, cheers.
From his 2000-released "Living in the Present Future" by the Swedish rock singer-songwriter Eagle-Eye Cherry, with the below MV for the first single from the album; "Are You Still Having Fun?". Not necessarily my sonic-cuppa, but...
"Telegram" by the Icelandic artist Björk is essentially a remix album released in 1996, featuring reinterpretations of tracks from her previous album, "Post". Featured above is the audio for "My Spine", while seen below is the MV for "Its Oh So Quiet";
From their 1998 "Rafi's Revenge" by British electronica band Asian Dub Foundation, with "Naxalite" showcased below. This album was more likely from a MTV viewing, but I am wholly unsure, except for a faint memory of attempting to recognize/remember the band name, and subsequently managed to find via listening stations.
The album is largely a re-mix and re-recording of the band's earlier 1997 album, R.A.F.I., which was initially released only in France. But as far as I was concerned, this was a fresh new soundscape to me! The allure latest another album, methinks.
"My Corner of the Sky" is a 1996 album release by Danish jazz singer Cæcilie Norby, showcasing a distinct (pop)-jazz vibe, which I adored for period of time in my life when I needed to chill from the pressure from which I strived for, ironically so. I snagged this album more likely from a listening-station at a music shop. The audio track chosen is an interpretation of Curtis Mayfield's "The Look of Love"...
