"SO BAD" by STAYC (MV + MV Reaction + Stage Performance + Dance Practise)

I was noi wholly aware of new girl group "STAYC" and their single "SO BAD" (until I saw SunnyReactsKR), and felt the MV and aesthetics were the epitome of the "KPOP" we consume now, with a ever-so-hint-of-Girl-Crush with a more wholesome veer (than say aespa's hyper-reality and BLACKPINK's branding. That "retro synthwave" trend tho...

The track was produced by Black Eyed Pilseung, who also executive produced the group. There is a impressive laundry of his Kpop-works, which I have not double-checked authenticity, but the result is nigh impressive for a debut group tho! From infectious song to high budgeted MV too!

Googling to find out more about this 6-member group, I was met with plagiarism accusations.

Accusations of Miley Cyrus’s music video for "Midnight Sky" being plagiarized soon followed their MV debut on November 12th, to which production company Rigend Film had responded with an official statement readable here, in which they essentially accepted the accusations and apologised for it. Oh dear, not a good start...
