Vol.18 - 4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG
"4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG" is a new ongoing serial feature where I showcased/share 4 tracks / MVs from 4 Random Albums I have in my eclectic collection ... some might get their own Full Album Listens, most might not, cheers.
I was clued into Matt Bianco by my brother, whom led me to Basia (who initially sang for Biano), and a soundscape lingered within me til now. And ironically I knew them best via their released singles (scroll to the bottom of this particular post for my personal soapbox-ramble about "listening ti singles only" LOL), and this 1990-released "The Best of Matt Bianco" was PERFECT for me!
The album consists of the band's greatest hits from their first three studio albums: Whose Side Are You On?, Matt Bianco and Indigo, and the new track and lead single "Fire in the Blood". The second single was "Wap Bam Boogie", and I've previously featured my fav MVs from them too, and I very rarely get tired from listening to my favs ... this is "More Than I Can Bear";

Released in 1994, "Future Listening!" Is the debut solo album from Japanese artist, record producer, and DJ, Towa Tei (鄭 東和). He is oft mentioned to be a member of US group "Deee-Lite," which is oblivious to me, cheers.
I had a few Full Albums Listens to Towa Tei, including Future Listening! too! His Bossa Nova chillscape has since somewhat evolved past the three albums I have heard, but my preference for his earlier works had not, alas :p
This is "TECHNOVA" (with Bebel Gilberto);

I have at least a couple of music albums from Hong Kong actress and singer Karen Mok (莫文蔚) that I still remembered, which makes her one of my fav Chinese singers, as much as my attention list up whenever I see her on the silver screens. I liked her distinct talk-sing song voice that was clear, and the choice of music accompaniment. "You Can" was her 1999 music album release, with lead single "Overcast" (Composed by Jonathan Lee).
Look, I simply love me my a-ha, that a "best of" compilations is not enough to showcase their discography, honestly. But alas the reality is - much like my "issue" with KPOP now too - is that seems most folks gauge their reception to only singles released, and not necessarily the entire soundscape offered in the rest of their album(s). This is "Maybe, Maybe" from their "Scoundrel Days" album. Was this on the "Headlines & Deadlines: The Hits of A-Ha" tho? I have no idea :p
