Full Album Listen for "極上ハイブリッド" / "Gokujou Hybrid" by #bird #バード (2002)
Bolster by my adoration for bird's MINDTRAVEL album (Full Listen HERE), I would be on constant lookout for her subsequent albums, and bare in mind at this time I was not as conversant on the internet for information ("online" was more for "work" than "leisure", ironically :p), and replied heavily on music shop listings and recommendations, and maybe even print magazines for information, unlike these days where everything is a google or tweet/X-away ... I was already a unrepentant work-horse by then, near-fully self-centredly engrossed in my own work then anything else in my life...

"極上ハイブリッド" (translated "Gokujou Hybrid") was released in "March 2002", featuring 12 tracks, which even now I struggle for information for, much less understood the language NOT for, but still hella excited for! Snatched this up immediately as I saw it on the shelf - back in the days where the excitement and thrill of physically seeing and touching music CDs was a "thing" (Sorry, no apologies for being THAT old). Scroll thru for full album listen, cheers.

I might not have the necessary language to describe this, but it felt that with this album, bird had veered toward a little bit more "mainstream" than her previous funkalicious niche, which still had me interested, even though my sonic-tastes might have changed since her previous albums ... as have her music evolved as the musician in her did, especially with her following albums, IMHO.
