How Long Should I Continue To Hold My Breath
At some point, you might have doubted if she was still an active part of the company. She is "active", yes, but not apart of the company, who is definitely active, but she is not included in the activities, moving forward.
Looks to be their most recent comeback could have been her "last" with the entire group, as subsequent tour(s) and upcoming overseas releases do not include her. I do not wholly agree with the "pre-existing contract" reasons/excuse - which might work for "overseas tour" (the simple logistics will not work, or will break her), but don't tell me a studio recording for a mini album could not be (re)scheduled? Please illuminate my perception of the situation.
And here I thought that "music" was the bread and butter of the equation. Yes, I am naive.
As well her solo remake was not promoted by the company on socials at all ("underground launch" myass), it continues to lay the groundwork for her going solo after the contract ends, as she should. As she must.
If after the JP release, and whatever a comeback on the future horizon where 10 is not apart of the line-up, looks to be she has been ousted and remain apart of the group by name and contract only, serving the remainder of said contract without care nor promotions by her current agency.
Whether it is apart of the alleged lawsuit conditions, or "punishment", all might well remain a "unspoken mystery" until years later when any "NDAs" lapse (Or it could be a simple fact that the industry is small ... we've never heard the reasons from either JJ or the company since his leaving, haven't we?), and when we are literally told a clearer picture, beyond oblique language translations.
We continue to speculate and draw out theories, like we have been on their lore these years, and they'll happily weather any negatives and move forward.
I have a theory, that everything turned a corner right when she was accused of being a "bully". Something might have happened during the period, or something stirred afters. The way the company stood up and defended her, that "care" we might have witnessed then, no longer seem to exist subsequently. I'd wanted to say "the language now is no longer the same", but the plain reality is, we base our assumptions on the English translation and are slaves to whatever is lost in translation (no disrespect to the awesome folks and fans who translates for us non-South Korean speaking folks) or lost in between the unspoken lines.
I feel there is much more to be known, but for the sake of not stirring up undue "panic", "the less spoken, the better".
If you say there is NOBODY at the company and that everyone is "away on tour", we will know when the girls get back.
Do not forget the company currently hosts other folks too - their newly signed and diligently promoted soloist, and their new trainees. But then again unless you say the departments are locked up individually with no easy access by non-related staff, that would be understandable and reasonable.
Nobody wants to rock the boat least it affects all the girls. Are you going to say you are willing to "let one go for the sake of the others"? Solo-stans notwithstanding.
We shall see as the days continue to roll by, and as we continue to lap up their b.s. with our self proclaimed "in support of the girls". In all honesty, that claim is real and legitamite as well, which makes it even harder - at least for me - to remain silent and continue to hold my breath. But what else can I do about it, but to bitch about it to myself on my own blog? Or maybe I should just buy their albums and merch, and not care beyond that?
