"S CLUB" by S CLUB 7 (Full Album Listen)

I saw the CD album for S CLUB 7, and thought immediately of KARD, whose having a comeback in 2022.06.22 - remember it being labeled "co-ed group", which understandably in a KPOP world of "Girl Groups" and "Boy Groups", you would need that "differentiation", if only to identify the group.

I've never really noticed if Western groups needed to be "labelled"... of course there were "Boy Bands" and "Girl Groups", but no one ever needed to mention "co-ed", did they? Doesn't matter, I guess... at least not to me.

"S Club" is the debut studio album by British pop group S Club 7. It was released by Polydor Records on 4 October 1999. Here's a full album listen with "official" MVs and Audio Only, cheers.

WHO-ARE: "S Club 7 were a British pop group from London, created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller... The group was formed in 1998 and quickly rose to fame by starring in their own BBC television series, Miami 7. In their five years together, S Club 7 had four UK number-one singles, one UK number-one album, and a string of hits throughout Europe as well as a Top 10 hit on the US Hot 100, with their 2000 single "Never Had a Dream Come True". They recorded four studio albums, released 11 singles and went on to sell over 10 million albums worldwide.". (WIKI). They had announced to disband circa 2003.

Also chronicled on Wiki, Simon Fuller apparently "selected the members for the group after auditioning from over 10,000 hopefuls", with the exception of Rachel Stevens, who was asked (by 2 producers, no less) to record a demo tape for Fuller. Fuller came up with the concept of S Club 7 the day after he was fired by the Spice Girls in November 1997...

BONUS: "Never Had A Dream Come True" MV

I will always remember them to be the better part of the late-90s/early-2000s music, whose melodies still remain evocative for me til now, IMHO. Of course there was also my "dream girlfriend" Rachel Stevens ... *blush*
