The Volunteers (더 발룬티어스) - "LET ME GO" MV & Live Stage Performance for W KOREA
My jaw is still twitching on the floor, after witnessing the sound of Seoul-based rock band The Volunteers, with a intense indie soundscape, polished raw and loud, borne of the nonchalant-tinged voice of Yerin Baek @yerin_the_genuine (+guitar), Hyungseok Koh (bass), Jonny (guitar), and Chiheon Kim (drums). F88king glorious.
And as I was delving into their YouTube channel and wanting to post a behind-the-scenes of their shoot for "LET ME GO" music video (see above), I'd discovered their live stage performance for W KOREA’s YouTube channel (featuring two songs: 'Let me go!' and 'Summer'), and quickly released they don't need no freakin'make-of-MV-video FFS!
Formed in 2018, and have had released their music (unofficially) on SoundCloud and YouTube before, this album is the FIRST release. And look, anyone who releases their own entire Full Album on YT, has my respect lah. Tracklisting below, and after that, links to purchase their music...!
