I was trying to remember the voice heard singing "Under The Milky Way" by The Church (1988), when in fact it was Steve Kilbey on the Australian rock band's songs, such as Reptile and Metropolis.

1984's "Wouldn’t it Be Good" by Nik Kershaw is the first song I'd heard from the singer, and is my fav amongst his other songs; The Riddle and I Won't let the Sun Go Down On Me :)

"Love Plus One" by Haircut 100 is one of my TOP TWENTY SONGS OF 80s, as far as I am concerned LOL (*Previously featured)!
