Introducing SM Culture Universe: aespa 에스파 'Ep1. Black Mamba'
SM Town has uploaded a 10 & 1/2 minuter video, best described as the "origin" of aespa 에스파 - in a fictional reel-world story concept, including their individual avatars - with "BLACK MAMBA" as the basis of "Episode 1", within the "SM Culture Universe".
With the hype built up to the real-world South Korean girl group, we are now getting stories. With moving sequential images "explaining" the concept, IMHO. And while I do not actively follow other groups and performers from SM Entertainment, I can imagine if this'll be a label-wide intergration of themes, leading to an equivalent of a "SM Cinematic Universe" ala "Marvel Cinematic Universe / MCU"? SCHWEET!
