One-Hit Wonders of the 80s: Tracks #11-#20

Continuing my delve into One-Hit Wonders of the 80s with #11-#20 (*Based on Entertainment Weekly's 2009-list) ... along with MVs, audio track, and some personal commentary ~ ENJOY!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #11 - "CARS" by Gary Numan which you cannot go wrong with, whatever you may be!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #12 - Obsesssion" by Animotion with the below video performance on "Top Of The Pops".

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #13 - "She Blinded Me With Science" by Thomas Dolby (from the album "The Golden Age Of Wireless") is another quintessential 80s-track for me... SHE BLINDED ME, WITH SCIENCE!"

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #14 - "In A Big Country" by Big Country (1983) from their album "The Crossing" is one track I adored, and found their sound unique, but never delved into their album for more from this Scottish band, alas...

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #15 - "Whip It" by DEVO (1980) from their album "Freedom Of Choice" ... "WHIP IT GOOD!"

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #16 - “99 Luft Balloons” by Nena is pretty much one of THE definitive track from the 80s, IMHO.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #17 - "The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats (1982) - from their album "My Hats Collection" - was a massively more successful track than the generic "Pop Goes The World"...

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #18 - "It Takes Two" from Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock from their 1988 album "It Takes Two" was a huge hit for the American hip hop duo, in addition to the less memorable "Joy and Pain", BUT I remembered "Get on the Dance Floor"...!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #19 - "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" from Dead or Alive outlasted every other track in his 1985 album "Youthquake"... although I do have memories of "Brand New Lover" LOL

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #20 - "Somebody’s Watching Me" by Rockwell is the second time I have posted this MV on my blog (first time amongst the line-up of my first "mixtape") ~ LOL
