"Gimme Gimme" by Second Aunt KimDaVi X LOONA (on Music Core / November 2020)

LOONA performing "Gimme Gimme" with Second Aunt KimDaVi, in "Music Core" on MBC (after their "Why Not?" showcase), celebrating 700 episodes of the music show, hereby having the opportunity to showcase their versatility in performing "trot", at the same time perhaps being a "treat" for older folks familiar with trot - which instead of saying "alienating" to some, might well be a LOONA-bridge now - and I'd like to think puts a smile on their family / maternal grand-parents all over South Korea ... And looks like they are having FUN too! Whomever arranged for this is genius, and kudos to everyone involved for performing this.

WHAT-IS "TROT": "Trot is a genre of Korean popular music, known for its use of repetitive rhythm and vocal inflections. Originating in Korea during Japanese colonial rule in the first half of the 20th century, Trot was influenced by many genres of Korean, Japanese, U.S. and European music.

Trot has been around for almost 100 years and its distinct singing style has been continuously evolving. Trot music got its shape in rhythms during Japanese colonial rule.

"K-pop" is a Derivative form of "Trot"."

In one corner of my jaded heart, I imagine as IU was (nick)named "Sister of the Nation", would LOONA be the proud wholesome "Grand Daughters of The Nation"? Here's a "fancam" footage for you, and a little bit more about WHO "Second Aunt KimDaVi" is...!
