Vol.14 - 4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG

"4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG" is a new ongoing serial feature where I showcased/share 4 tracks / MVs from 4 Random Albums I have in my eclectic collection ... some might get their own Full Album Listens, most might not, cheers.

This 2001 compilation album "Back to Mine: Everything But the Girl" was everything to me when I first heard it, in an era of the massive desire for "chill-out" muzik I did not need to have to "dance to". Plus I am a fiend for "compilations", like a "mixtape" of assorted soundscapes...! "The album features a down-tempo, atmospheric mix of folk-pop, electronica, and hip-hop tracks selected by Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt of Everything But the Girl. It is considered a classic chill-out album and a notable entry in the series."

Of course I have the full album listens for you...

This is a C D single for "Simply Wonderful" by Japanese singer Mai Kuraki (倉木麻衣), which I had failed in finding the full MV / track for, besides the snippet shown below (... or rather I'd "spent too much time searching for"). Released in 2000, I remember the days when "CD Singles" were readily available, and me being the ever cheapskate that I have been thru my adult life, I never truly "believed" in "paying for CD singles", until the time when they no longer existed in stores ... LOL

"King of Dub" by the musician Scientist (Jamaican recording engineer and producer "Hopeton Overton Brown") features dancehall dub, and here's a full album for you:

The OST/Soundtrack for the 1997 feature film "The Jackal" is stacked full awesome, including names like Primal Scream, Moby, Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, Goldie & J, and Fatboy Slim, whose track "Going Out of My Head" is showcased below. I need to do a "Full Album" of this tho...!
