LOONA NOT FRIENDS Header on TUNESTALKSG


After the images and MV teasers, music preview, the full Music Video for "NOT FRIENDS" has dropped, featuring the Ryan Jhun-produced track sung by, and performed in the MV by HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul and Yves from South Korean girl group 이달의 소녀 (LOONA)!



Instead of attempting to decipher this MV, as I would have attempted for LOONA MVs (You don't read it here, they are all in my mind and unpublished articles lol), I'd like to take this opportunity for a unburdened "fresh start", a chance to just let the visuals sink in, and bathe in the gloriousness of HeeJin, JinSoul, Kim Lip and Yves as they embody personas outside of 이달의 소녀, (the) LOONAVerse or any LOONA-lore ("Apples" and "Moon" imagery not withstanding LOL)...!

And while the soundscape is decidedly NOT the "LOONA" I remembered to be, or recognise, THIS IS ALSO LOONA, and represent yet another facet and continued evolution, even if it is four out of the twelve girls.
