One-Hit Wonders of the 80s: #51-#60

Continuing my one-hit-wonders of the 80s blog-feature, featured here is Tracks #51-#60 (*Based on Entertainment Weekly's 2009-list), and this selection has brought up truly memorable favs, reminded me of a couple swell tunes, and even hid a song I'm hearing for the first time...?

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #51 - After the Fire with "Der Kommissar" (1982) is a CLASSIC-80's track for me!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #52 - Mary Jane Girls with “In My House” (12" Version). They were protégées of singer Rick James, and were also known for "Candy Man" and "All Night Long".

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #53 - Taco with “Puttin’ On the Ritz” (1983) with the below video a "live" performance.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #54 - “Lady in Red” by Chris DeBurgh from his 1986 album 'Into The Light'.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #55 - “Just Got Paid” by Johnny Kemp - is this the first time I've listened to this???

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #56 - Til Tuesday with “Voices Carry” is one of the 80s bands I ADORE, and will be featuring more of in time to come.

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #57 - Jermaine Stewart with “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off” (1986) - and I had nearly forgotten this track too! I am so glad I started doing this list LOL

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #58 - “Heartbeat” by Don Johnson (1986) ... and while I'd remembered Brunio and Eddie, I'd quite frankly had forgotten about Don...!

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #59 - “Your Love” by The Outfield

ONE HIT WONDERS OF THE 80S #60 - Nu Shooz with “I Can’t Wait” ... and how clould I forget "Point Of No Return"?

And this is something which I've not done before: Selecting Tracks to add to my (fictional) #Soundtrackto80sLife mixtape(s)! My selection from this list include:

"Der Kommissar" by After the Fire
"Voices Carry" by Til Tuesday
“Your Love” by The Outfield
“I Can’t Wait” by Nu Shooz
