LOONA 1/3 on MIXNINE (2017)

That one time when HeeJin, HyunJin and HaSeul of LOONA auditioned for YG Entertainment's talent survival reality show "MIXNINE", with the above video uploaded unto JTBC dated "6 Nov 2017", and the clip below of the Judges looking and critiquing the performance seen above.



All three girls had already debuted their solos (HEEJIN / HYUNJIN / HASEUL), and their Christmas-infused "The Carol" had debuted earlier in "14 Dec 2016", so no doubt (but I do not know for "fact"), that their appearance in this talent survival show served to "expose" their existence to the wider public in South Korean, and no doubt the strategy for a lot more girls in the show from other different companies...?

And while I am wholly unfamiliar with the show and their history, loonatheworld.fandom.com mentioned that both HeeJin and HyunJin passed the preliminary auditions to participate in the program. The show ended with the boys crowned the winners, over the girls' team. Also mentioned was that "HeeJin was voted as the top visual of the show (for the female trainees)."

There are much more clips on YouTube of the girls' performance, faux drama between besties Heejin & HyunJin, and appearance(s) on the talent show (along with more girls I am unfamiliar with, sorry) = all of which I have chosen not to delve into further here, as I'd rather look forward to where they are heading instead, IMHO... but then again, THIS blog is all about "reminiscencing" too, innit? Heh.

THAT said, the following are MVs for "Mr. Chu" by Apink 에이핑크, and "Free Somebody" by Luna 루나 (first time I'm hearing this too, and LOVED IT) - which the girls performed during the "audition"!
