SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL OST

"Sixteen Candles" (1984), "The Breakfast Club" (1985), "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986), "Pretty in Pink" (1986), rolls off the list of John Hughes written, directed and prided 80s classics, but THE film for me personally, was "SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL".

Written by Hughes and directed by Howard Deutch, the 1987 American romantic drama film starred Eric Stoltz, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Lea Thompson. And while it is miles away from my teen hood shooting in Singapore, the allure of "Americanized" media-presented school was set against a soundtrack that proved to be more memorable for me! Here is the entire track list, courtesy of youtube!

Featured above is the opening scene of thefilm, featuring "Abuse" by Propaganda - which was not included in the OST album! Scroll to the bottom of this post for a "bonus MV" :)

PLOT: "The film is set against the strict social hierarchy of an American public high school in suburban Los Angeles. Blue-collar mechanic and aspiring artist Keith Nelson (Eric Stoltz) and his tomboyish friend Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson), who has been subjected to rumors that she is a lesbian, aspire to improve their social standing. Keith is an aspiring artist, but his blue-collar father is obsessed with sending him to college, as he would be the first in their family to go to college." (Wiki)
