The Coming of aespa from SM Entertainment

SM Entertainment annonces and reveals their latest Kpop girl group "aespa", in anticipation of their debut single "Black Mamba" to be released on November 17th, 6PM KST. Lee Soon Man attempts to describe the genesis and experience:



Comprising 4 members (WINTER, NING NING, KARINA and GISELLE), a very specific melding of (manufactured) "reality" and the "cyberworld" is promoted, with mentions of "avatars", and the tagline currently being "I’m in SYNK". And while I will not attempt to decipher what it actually means - as folks online join in the fun - I am reminded of "JOI" in "BladeRunner 2049" ... so either this is a brand new frontier to be enjoyed, or it's lapse into dark unsavoury territory (*WARNING: ADULT SCENES) with deep fakes and mods...
