Vol.26 - 4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG
"4 X 4 on #TUNESTALKSG" is a new ongoing serial feature where I showcased/share 4 tracks / MVs from 4 Random Albums I have in my eclectic collection ... some might get their own Full Album Listens, most might not, cheers.
"The Monster (Universal Mix)" is a 2001 CD album released by the Japanese band Dreams Come True (Also known as DCT). I had waited for, and purchased this album as I was following the discography of DCT at this point.
This was their first full-English album which including 2 Bonus tracks that was not on their Japanese Edition "The Monster" album (released 1999).
One of my fav tracks was "Dragonfly" (final track of the album / above), with the mesmerising voice of Miwa Yoshida (credited as Composer, Vocalist, Lyricist for this track) pulling me into the depths of emotions, even as I have zero understanding of the Japanese language ... :)
You can also listen to the Japanese version of the track here ... but my ultimate favourites version is the Special Radio Mix. Beautiful.

"Horizons" by Singapore (Alternative) rock band Concave Scream was released in 2006, featuring 10 x jangle-rock tracks totally underrated (of course I am biased, as this was the 2nd album I own from them, which included 1999's "Three") and largely "lost", but for this YT-playlist, which included the (title) track "Horizons";
I purchased this album either from Tower Records or HMV (they are interchangeable for me, responsible for it all muahahagaha) when I recognised the band and had a chance to partake via listening stations, all of which is not a regular situation in Singapore's mainstream record shops tho, but I am glad they did.
Their earlier soundscape (from their 1999 album "Three") was highly reminiscent of The Cure and brit-jangle, which I adored. This is "Fiction";
"DYNAMICDUO 6th DIGILOG 1/2" by the South Korean duo Dynamicduo was released 2011 by Amoeba Culture. This K-pop hip-hop album is the first part of their sixth studio album (which was followed by Dynamicduo 6th Digilog 2/2 in 2012), and features the track "Girl" (audio below).
The main reason WHY I have this signed album, was due to South Korean designer/creator Coolrain, who had designed the character figures apart of the album's 10th Anniversary promotions!
I'd received the signed album and goodies along with a figure from AMOEBAHOOD back in 2011!
I distinctively remembered buying this album from a local anime festival, without listening to any of the tracks, because I had just wanted to purchase a "anime OST", because at this particular time, original Japanese anime CDs / OST were a rarity in the local landscape. Plus this was in a nice package, for which I have always had a weakness for LOL
Truth be, I could hardly enjoy the OST as there were zero context, and it was much later that I was able to watch the 2012 animated film 009 RE:CYBORG (directed by Kenji Kamiyama), that I could appreciate the "SOUND OF 009 RE:CYBORG" OST album by Kenji Kawai.
Showcased below however, is the trailer for the anime film.
