How We Played Music In The 80s



I do not take it for granted the existence of "cassettes/tapes", much less tape players, having grown up with it prevalent thru the 70s,80sn and 90s, before the advent of Compact Discs over-runneth, and even now CDs remain a borderline antiquity, much less "tapes".



I remembered none too long ago, while hauling off cassette tapes at a flea market, of a student who had wanted to purchase a tape for his portable tape player, because his class teacher disallowed him to play his mobile phone in class)... and as he attempted to open up a cassette tape box, not dawned on me that the physical aspect of the experience, might well be forgotten or missed in the future.



I did not laugh tho. But it kinda broke my heart a smidgen... just as long as folks don't expect us to hold our boombox above our heads to woo someone, like they do in Hollywood movies...! LOL
