WARP by Judy & Mary (Full Album Listen)



WHO-IS: Judy and Mary (often stylized as JUDY AND MARY) was a Japanese rock band formed in 1991 in Japan by bassist Yoshihito Onda and vocalist Yuki, with drummer Kohta Igarashi and guitarist Taiji Fujimoto completing the lineup in 1992. Guitarist Takuya replaced Taiji the following year. The band is known for their innovative punk, rock, and pop meldings of noisy but melodic music in the 1990s.

Active between 1991–2001, I've only managed to snag their 6th and final album "Warp" (released in Japan 2001 / (Listen on music.apple.com)). I cannot truly remember the reason "why" I picked them up, or pehrpasd it was from one of the listening booths in other Tower Records or HMV, no doubt borne from my interest in indie J-Rock back in the day (which also included "Cream" / Full Album Listen HERE).



I managed to pull this CD album just, so this'll be a Full Album Listen, with the above featured MV for ""Mottö" (More)"; one of their singles released from this album (alongside "Lucky Pool" (ラッキープール) and "Peace (Strings Version)" - scroll to bottom for a Docu and MV). Interestingly, the below showcased "Brand New Wave Upper Ground" was not listed as a "singles release" tho...
