Takashi Murakami x BLACKPINK Lightstick to debut at ComplexCon Hong Kong 2024

Since the apparel collection launch of Takashi Murakami x BLACKPINK, "Part 2" has been revealed to launch at ComplexCon Hong Kong, and specifically for this blog, let's take a closer look at the LIGHTSTICK, shall we?

Witness the BLACKPINK + Takashi Murakami Lightstick Collectible, priced at US$120, first made available at ComplexCon Hong Kong (March 23-24) at @musinsa.official's pop-up!

The design follows the KPOP girl group's "Pyongbong" toy-hammer concept, with a marked manifestation of Murakami's iconic SUPERFLAT smiling flower as the lighted-up element of the hammer, and decor on the handle!

Online availability begins March 25, 2024 at shop.complex.com (from 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET), and subsequently via global.musinsa.com beginning March 29 at 12 PM KST.

Do note tho, that "This item will not ship to South Korea, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia. If located in South Korea, China, Indonesia, or Malaysia, visit participating Asia retailer Musinsa or pop-up stores starting March 29th.". Most definitely not necessarily "in your area"...! (Sorry, I couldn't resist :p). See the captions in below embedded image for the WHERE and WHEN, cheers.

So what are "lightsticks" anyways?
"The K-pop lighstick is literally a light stick that represents a K-pop group. Each group has its own lightstick with its own colors and characteristics. Fans can support and show their love for their favorite groups.". (koreaetour.com).

BLACKPINK already have their own "Pyongbong", in two versions in fact; Version 1 (above) and Version 2 (below), and as well seen as part of the BLACKPINK figurines (from 2021)!
