Thievery Corporation (Full Album Streams)

I can't specifically remember HOW it was I knew of "Thievery Corporation". I doubt it was MTV - but cannot deny that assumption, because it would've led to me KNOWING their "name", because how else could I?

Or it could simply be their songs being apart of compilation CDs, which is more likely, as at that time in my life, I'd delved into the music genre - having tire of "American Top 40" songs and MVs (I used to interact with them on a daily basis a part of my day-job in the late 90s early 2000s), so no doubt it would've been a huge whiff of refreshed air, to not have too SEE a song, instead of just grooving to it's soundscape.

drowned in dub

It could also be attributed to Everything But The Girl transitioning into dance musik, that helped pointed me to the frantic garagehouseaciddubelectronica-dysphoria, like Asian Dub Foundation and it's brothers-n-sisters in BPM. None too ironically, these genre of music is now labelled as "coffeeshop music"? Baffles me, but legit, as depending on how said coffeeshop wanted to affiliated themselves with, innit? These endear themselves to my ears, as much as "elevator music" does :)

Thievery Corporation will forever be entwined with the times I collected WALLPAPER and FRAME magazine - in the days where I'd LREADY been neck-deep into Television and Film Media Industry, but still holding unto my Interior Design passions .. I've never "given up" my passion for ID, just delved into other passions, and Thievery Corporation and it's architects of soundscapes were a mirror to my dreams.
